Fresh Start

Eagle eyed readers may have noticed a distinct lack of posts recently. The main cause of this has been a career change and a few minor personal problems (which have thankfully been overcome).
However, I am now going to restart my blogging on a new blog, where I can hopefully put to good use what I have learnt here.

Therefore, many thanks to everyone who posted comments and advice.

Technical Difficulties

Due to some unavoidable technical difficulties....a/. being too busy and b/. temporary loss of broadband connection I've been unable to publish very much recently. However, this has now been rectified and I'll be doing some catching up soon.

CBB update

Have resisted the urge to waste any more of my valuable time watching "reality" TV...took the slightly drastic measure of re-arranging the furniture so that I've got my back to the telly when I'm at PC! Will see if I can resist or if I'll need to remove the batteries from the remote.

Again another break in this humble blog :( but this time I've got a good excuse! Went through to Glasgow to see K on Friday and ended up staying a while so all is right in the world again!

"Celebrity" Big Brother aka Car-Crash TV

Oh dear, I've got to hang my head in shame. Just watched the start of Celebrity Big Brother (no, this post isn't a shameless attempt to boost my ratings). They're obviously dangerously close to scraping the bottom of the barrel this time. However, it's got that potential must watch quality as well....rather like slowing down to rubberneck, an accident in the other carriageway, on the motorway. This is bad, very bad, because I know that once it's over, I'm gonna be cursing myself for wasting 23 days worth of TV viewing!
As for "celebrity"....methinks they're stretching the envelope, a teeny wee bit with this batch.

"Dear Channel 4, can you please arrange a time-machine, at the end of this run of CBB, so I can recover the time I know that I'm going to be squandering in the next three weeks."
